Publication Ethics

Editorial Responsibility

The editorial team of the American Journal of Psychiatric Rehabilitation is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency in the publication process. Editors are responsible for ensuring that all submissions are evaluated solely on the basis of academic merit, without regard to authors’ race, gender, institutional affiliation, or personal characteristics.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback. Confidentiality is maintained throughout the review process, and reviewers must not use any information from the manuscript for personal advantage.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that their submissions are original, free from plagiarism, and have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of all sources and contributors must be included. Any form of data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices is strictly prohibited. Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest and confirm ethical approval for studies involving human participants.

Plagiarism and Misconduct

The journal uses plagiarism detection tools to ensure the originality of submitted content. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized material or fabricated data will be rejected immediately. In cases of confirmed misconduct, the journal may retract published articles and notify relevant institutions or bodies.

Conflict of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the outcome or interpretation of their work. Full transparency ensures the credibility and trustworthiness of the research published.

Ethical Approval

For studies involving human participants, authors must confirm that ethical approval was obtained from an appropriate institutional review board or ethics committee. A statement to this effect should be included in the manuscript under a dedicated section.

Corrections and Retractions

In the event that significant errors or ethical issues are identified after publication, the journal will issue appropriate corrections, retractions, or clarifications as required. The integrity of the scholarly record is of utmost importance.

Compliance with International Standards

The journal follows the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved in the publication process to adhere to these standards.
